Waterproof
Solid surface is a waterproof material. Let’s say an athlete spills some Gatorade in their locker and don’t see they did for a week. If you’ve got a wood locker, that gets soaked up. The wood warps or delaminates. Wood is a porous material. You’ve now got a problem.
Well, not with solid surface. Solid surface isn’t porous. Gatorade, sweat, dirt—solid surface is unfazed. Simply wipe away minutes or days after the spill. Is the mess sticky or leaving behind a ring? Use a bleach wipe to clean it off.
Durable
Solid surface stands up to just about anything you can throw at. We even stuck one of our cabinets in the wilderness for 10 months just to show how durable solid surface is.
Oh yeah, and we took it through a car wash to clean it. What other locker can hold up to that?
Scratches and scuffs can happen, but solid surface is easy to repair. It can be buffed out, versus a material like wood which needs to be refinished.
