A football field. A basketball court. They’re all fields of battle, a place to show off athletic strength and at the college level, it’s on a national stage.

Competition doesn’t just happen out there, it happens at the facilities level. How do you attract top recruits? How do you create an environment to win?

When a locker room is done right, it’s a game-changer, not just for the team, but for the program. Recruits want to see top-notch facilities. Teams want a facility they’re proud of, to show off. And a locker room done with Shield lockers is a locker room done right.

For former Kansas head coach David Beaty, their new locker room, complete with Shield lockers, is another “big step in the process of becoming a consistent winner in college football.”

“I am so appreciative of all of the people involved who helped make this happen,” Beaty said. “They took a completely outdated space and turned it into a top-five Power Five Conference locker room and lounge. This will be a tremendous asset when it comes to recruiting.”

Locker room reveals generate buzz on social media. They hype up the team, the fan base and give recruits something to be wowed about.

Arkansas’ new locker room is decked out with Shield lockers.

“This kind of thing helps you in recruiting,” Arkansas defensive coordinator John Chavis said. “You’ve got to have facilities to be able to recruit. I don’t think any players in the country will go into a better game day locker room than we’ve got here at Arkansas.”

Noah Rauschenberg, one of the nation’s top kicking prospects, remarked how impressed he was with Arkansas’ new locker room during an unofficial visit at the Arkansas vs. Eastern Illinois game.

“They were stunning,” Rauschenberg said. “The way they’re set up and the way they’re designed like AT&T Stadium. It was beautiful. I’ve never seen a locker room designed like that. It’s amazing.”
